We cater for players of all abilities and skill levels; our focus is on fun and enjoyment of the game – whether your child simply wants to play social rugby and make new friends or is aiming and dreaming big to be a future Wallaby, Brumby, or senior Viking, your child will enjoy the complete experience that Vikings Junior Rugby provides. After all Rugby is truly the only sport for all body sizes!
Our focus is on teamwork, fitness, fun and playing in the right spirit, with the goal of giving kids a safe introduction to Rugby Union Football. Our club encourages participation and inclusiveness to all members, both on and off the field through friendship, endeavor, loyalty and laughter.
Registrations for players and volunteers are completed ONLINE. This means that both players and volunteers electronically complete a form through Rugby AU and no longer register at the Club by signing a paper form. All individual Rugby participants must be registered prior to participating in Rugby, including before playing any match, trials or training. This is a necessity for coverage under the Rugby Australia National Insurance Scheme.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION DAYS
Each year the club will hold information days where you will find out all the information for the year ahead. At certain events you can participate in some activities to give Rugby a go. These include:
- The “Brumbies Meet the Players Day”: generally held in February at Brumbies HQ @ Canberra UC, Bruce.
- Vikings ‘Come & Try’ Rugby: in February or March – details will be posted on our home page

Registration costs for the 2021 season:
- Under 7 – $165
- Under 8 – Under 12 $199.50
- Under 13 – Under 15 Boys – $221.50
- Under 13/Under 14 Girls – $189
- Under 16 – Under 18 Boys – $150
- Under 16 – Under 18 Girls – $150
Generation Red fees are sponsored by Vikings Seniors Rugby
A discount applies of $10 for a second player and $20 for a third player (siblings only). This is available for families registering more than one player, all family members must be linked and processed in one transaction.
There is currently two payment options credit/debit) card or Zip Pay. Note: there may be an additional transaction processing fee.
Families experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to contact us to discuss financial assistance options.

The moment a player registration is processed, the Club pays Rugby Australia the fixed Registration components on behalf of the participant(s). So, generally we are not able to refund fees.
In special circumstances, the committee can consider applications made in writing for a refund of the Club-Membership component of player fees. In these cases, the club would wear the cost of this refund. The Special Circumstances could include a medical reason or another special circumstance as detailed in writing. No applications for fee refund will be considered after 30th April.
Unregistered Players: If a player requests a player transfer to another club and has not registered to play for the club for the current season, please contact the NEW club to which you wish to transfer to.
Registered Players: If a player requests a player transfer to another club and has already registered to play for the club for the current season, a formal written request must be provided to the Junior Club Committee, prior to a release.
If a transfer has been requested with a new club without this process, the release may not be granted
